We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Ashley Chung, our new Associate Dentist, to the Softouch Dental Care family—bringing exceptional skill, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care that aligns perfectly with our values. A proud alumna of National Cathedral School for girls in Washington, D.C., she went on to earn her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry from Southern Methodist University, where she developed a strong foundation in the sciences and a passion for healthcare.
She continued her education at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, one of the nation's top dental programs, where she received comprehensive training in both general and advanced dental procedures. Dr. Ashley is a dedicated and accomplished dental professional, known for her strong foundation in both clinical excellence and academic achievement. A top graduate of her dental class, Dr. Ashley was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU)—a prestigious national dental honor society—an honor bestowed upon only 12 students in recognition of exceptional academic and ethical standards.
As Vice President of the Gorgas Odontological Honor Society, Dr. Ashley demonstrated exemplary leadership and a commitment to advancing dental education. She is also a proud member of Gamma Pi Delta, the national prosthodontic honor society, which recognizes outstanding clinical ability in prosthodontics and restorative care.
Dr. Ashley further distinguished herself through an intensive oral surgery clerkship, where her outstanding clinical performance earned her a departmental award, the Edgar Jacques Award. This immersive experience not only sharpened her surgical skills but also deepened her commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Dr. Ashley is an avid outdoor enthusiast with a passion for camping and hiking, always seeking new ways to connect with nature and maintain an active lifestyle. She also enjoys practicing yoga, which helps her stay centered and balanced both physically and mentally. In addition to yoga, Dr. Ashley spends her free time playing tennis and golf—sports that challenge focus, precision, and perseverance. She is also the proud owner of a Scottish Terrier ("Badger"), who brings energy and companionship to all of life’s adventures.
Dr. Ashley is committed to staying current with the latest dental technologies and techniques, and she takes pride in making every patient feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their oral health journey.
